Monthly Meetings

Meeting Time:
MPOAC meets on the third Thursday of each month.
6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Note: We generally do not meet in July, August, or December.

Meeting Place:
Meetings are held in the Alamo Meeting Room in the Lonestar Steakhouse at 7450 W. 52nd Avenue in Arvada (SE corner of 52nd and Wadsworth, North of I-70).

The room is reserved for the February through June meetings and the November meeting. The Lonestar will allow each member to order and pay for their meal and beverages on separate tickets.

Events

The MPOAC Annual Seminar brings together park owners across Colorado. This year's seminar and yearly business meeting will be held all day on October 1st and half-day on October 2nd at The Viceroy Hotel and Resort in Snowmass, Colorado.

Confirmed speakers are:

  • Kristi Bunge with Springman, Braden, Wilson, and Pontius will be speaking about the new changes needed on eviction notices.
  • Steve Payton has a company that provides financing on used mobile homes. His topic will be regarding the new law to become a licensed loan originator when providing the financing of a mobile home yourself (which can be expensive and time consuming) and explaining the benefits of using a licensed loan originator instead.
  • Eric Larson will be talking about uncovered risks you may not be aware of and what the company he represents can offer our Members.

Lastly, we are carefully looking for a CPA willing to discuss the implied changes for some or all of us having to move Passive Income from Schedule E to Active Income on Schedule C and a possible 35% tax credit for employers providing health insurance.
